Whenever I walk through the farmed landscape, I am drawn to the evidence of the influences of agriculture on the fells. This field barn creates a majestic reminder of the need for storage and shelter, and its backdrop of Mallerstang Edge, linked to the valley slopes by the seams of drystone walling, always invites me to stop and attempt to define its beauty.
